Why it was built
It was created by Jabez Gan, a former Microsoft MVP (Windows Server) and the technical lead behind Zepto Consulting, after running Microsoft 365 audits by hand for clients for years. It does in minutes what used to take an afternoon of cross-referencing admin-center reports.
What it checks
Thirteen checks across five pillars: your Microsoft Secure Score; identity and access (MFA gaps, Global Admin exposure, dormant admins, stale guests, risky passwords); data exposure (third-party apps with high-risk permissions); email authentication (SPF and DMARC); and license efficiency (unassigned, disabled and inactive licensed accounts).
What it doesn’t do
It is strictly read-only — it never changes, remediates or reverts anything in your tenant. It doesn’t read mail, files, OneDrive or Teams messages, and it doesn’t analyze Conditional Access, DLP, sensitivity labels, retention or device compliance.
How it differs from Microsoft Secure Score
It complements Secure Score rather than replacing it — reading your actual Secure Score and adding email authentication, app-consent and license checks for a broader tenant-health view. See the full comparison.
Who should use it
SMB IT admins and Microsoft 365 tenant owners. Running the scan requires a Global Administrator or Global Reader role in the tenant.
How the assessment works
You sign in through Microsoft’s own admin-consent screen and grant read-only permissions. M365 Health Score reads the relevant data via Microsoft Graph, scores the five pillars, and returns your overall Health Score. The full report is delivered as a PDF plus an Excel issue tracker.

The scan and overall Health Score are free. The full itemized report is a one-time $99; optional monthly monitoring is $34/month and re-scans the tenant, emailing both files and tracking your score over time.
